thought partnership at moments of consequence
Leadership Advisory
For over 15 years I have been providing confidential thought partnership for senior leaders working through complex strategic, relational and organisational questions where the quality of judgement carries significant consequence. Engagements often begin at moments of transition, increased responsibility or heightened scrutiny, when expectations intensify and the margin for error narrows.
My work includes supporting
- careful thinking about decision-making in conditions of uncertainty,
- authority and legitimacy in role,
- working with boards and senior stakeholders,
- navigating competing expectations,
- leading through change, and
- holding complexity without premature simplification.
- The focus is not speed of response, but clarity that supports sound judgement over time.
I work as a leadership advisor, coach and trusted thought partner to FTSE 100 CFOs, CEOs and senior leaders operating in complex environments. I am often engaged as a sounding board and reflective partner when the stakes are high and the questions are not straightforward. My work sits at the intersection of leadership advisory and reflective practice, supporting leaders to think clearly, exercise sound judgement and lead with authority that is both effective and internally coherent.
My early career was as a Chartered Architect. I moved quickly into senior leadership in local government, where I led multidisciplinary public and private sector teams responsible for procuring and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder capital programmes. This experience shaped my understanding of leadership as both structural and relational — requiring not only technical competence but the capacity to hold competing interests, ambiguity and responsibility over time.
In 2010, guided by a clearer sense of purpose and priority, I moved to a portfolio career and qualified as a coach through Meyler Campbell, where I now serve as faculty. Over more than fifteen years working with senior leaders, I have developed a practice that integrates critical thinking, evidence-informed approaches and a deep interest in identity, belonging and authority. I create spaces where leaders can think carefully, speak honestly and work at depth in ways that strengthen both their impact and their integrity.
My style has been described as a “marshmallow sledgehammer” — combining calm presence with thoughtful challenge. I work with care and precision, supporting leaders to engage the questions beneath the immediate question, particularly where responsibility is significant and easy answers are insufficient.
I hold six degrees, including a PhD, and bring an interdisciplinary lens shaped by research in identity, meaning and belonging. I am an EMCC accredited Senior Practitioner and accredited Supervisor, with extensive experience supporting coaching capability at C-suite level in the UK and internationally.
I live in London with my husband, our two adult children, and Tiger the cat. Outside my professional work I enjoy cinema, travel, and learning new things — most recently improvisation comedy, which continues to remind me of the importance of presence, responsiveness and not over-rehearsing what matters most.
