space to think about what matters
Programs & Retreats
For those who would like to work with me and are unable to access one-to-one advisory or are not ready for it, I offer a small number of open programmes and retreats. These are perfect for those who wish to engage seriously with their leadership, authority and responsibility at different stages of their professional journey.
Programmes including The Work Beneath the Work and Courage to Belong retreats are held in London, Morocco and online. These live, unrecorded experiences provide structured space for careful thinking, reflective dialogue and the exploration of leadership grounded in responsibility.
Retreat settings offer particular value because they create the conditions for attention that are often difficult to access within the pace of everyday professional life. Stepping outside the immediate demands of a 'role' — what ever that may be — allows leaders to notice patterns that are easily obscured by urgency. Patterns such as:
- how you relate to authority,
- how you respond under pressure,
- where performance may be compensating for uncertainty, and
- where responsibility may be carried without sufficient support.
Thoughtful structure, protected time and a carefully curated group environment supporting reflection that is held and humane.
A distinctive feature of these spaces is the quality of attention participants offer one another. People often arrive as strangers, through careful listening and shared inquiry a level of trust develops that allows honest reflection with pure intention and care, without performance or self-protection.
I guide participants in developing new ways of listening — not only to others, but to themselves — often uncovering forms of knowledge that are already present but rarely given sufficient space and time to emerge.
Many find they are able to recognise and articulate what they already sense but have not yet had the conditions to trust and allow.
Every time meaningful connections form and what stays with participants is not the detail of specific conversations, it is a shift in how they understand their role and the expectations they carry and how they will . The experience tends to remain as increased clarity about what is truly theirs to hold, greater steadiness in exercising judgement, and a more grounded relationship to complexity.
These programmes draw on more than 25 years of engagement with leadership development and reflective practice across diverse international contexts. Influences include drawing on the principles of Courage & Renewal and a range of professional, developmental and contemplative traditions. What unites the selection of tools, frameworks, and ideas is a commitment to depth, integrity and the understanding that leadership develops not only through new knowledge, but also through strengthened self-understanding and the capacity to remain thoughtful in the presence of complexity.
These programmes are designed for those who sense that developing leadership capacity is not only about acquiring techniques, but also about strengthening the inner ground from which decisions, relationships and responsibilities are navigated over time.
