Are You Letting Procrastination Win?

Procrastination - the action of delaying or postponing something.

Why are we letting procrastination win? We only get one life and we spend so much time talking ourselves out of doing things. We need to embrace life and get past procrastination.

So, how can we get around it? First of all, be aware that you are procrastinating in the first place. You need to be able to recognize when you're procrastinating if you're going to beat it.

How can we cure it or deal with it? I...

Do You Have A Dream Or Plan?

Many people want to achieve things in their life, but what is the point in having a dream about achieving something, if you don't have a plan to get there.

I've been working on my health and fitness for a while but recently I took my foot of the pedal a bit. When I look at my journal record, it's blank! I haven't planned anything so it's no wonder that I've let things go a bit.

You may have a dream but you need a plan if you want to achieve that dream.

If you think about where you are...

What fuels unexpected kindness?

Whilst working out of the house, in Central London, I'm still pleasantly surprised about how much kindness you see from the people there. Don't get me wrong, the rude people are still there too, but seeing kindness in action is always inspiring.

I was sitting in a coffee shop for the bulk of the day, working away. I like to work outside quite often and change locations through the day but today I was kind of tied to one place which gave me the chance to observe the people in the...

My Daughter Hated Physics Until Today....

My daughter is home schooled. This is because we travelled for a few years, living in a number of countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Malaysia and the US amongst others. She studies English, Maths, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Sociology. This went pretty well but she has always disliked physics as a subject.

Something interesting happened today however. She started doing some extra tuition, on top of her normal studies, at a college. As a result she has got...

Coaching Lessons From A 5 Year Old

In this video I share a few lessons I learned from some kids who came round to the house about a week ago.

I'm that Auntie that the nieces and nephews are a little bit scared of (because I'm the one who will tell them off!) but, they know that I also give them interesting things to do and think about.

On this day, I happened to give some advice to 7 kids, all aged under 8. In essence, I got them to make some checklists. I didn't make them. They did. They had ownership of the process. So...

Clarity

Can you imagine ever getting on a bus, train, or plane and not know where you are going? I am a firm believer in the idea that you need to know where you are going or its just a journey to nowhere. If you have ever been in a situation where you are wondering what you are doing today (or in life in general), chances are it's because you don't know your destination, you don't have clarity.

To me, life is a journey that we take from A to B. A being when we are born, and B being when we...

Is Discipline Bad For You?

You are on a diet and you are keeping yourself in check, watching what you eat and how much you exercise. You might have a Fitbit helping you monitor your discipline. But I firmly believe that discipline is wrong for us and here is why.Look, a little bit of discipline is always good and helps you to get where you want to go, but having to be disciplined all the time reminds me of having to fight yourself and what you really want to do. This is the main reason why when we go on a diet or start...
